 Who is Kathleen Adams?
I am a plant person. As
a child my family always had a garden and house plants. On Kodiak
Island, in Alaska,
I had a Winter garden (in the summer). In San Francisco I had a
backyard box garden. Today, I have a nice little vegetable & herb
garden at my home in Ashland, a philodendron jungle above my desk,
and a Christmas cactus which was a start from my Grandmother's cactus
(I've been growing it for over 25 years. It's huge now!).
I received my Bachelor degree in Psychology, with a minor in Religion,
from Linfield College in 1979. I have worked in various Social Service
positions since graduation. In 1999, while working with MRDD adults
at Hollyhock Nursery, I was certified as a Hortucultural Therapy
Technician with the American Horticultural Therapy Association (I'm
one of only five in Oregon).
